Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd (Serba Dinamik), an international energy engineering services provider, is positioning itself as a multinational company by expanding its presence overseas.
Its group managing director, Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah, said Serba Dinamik is doing this by establishing itself in strategic locations.
“We have done this via our internal organisation and also through acquisition of entities in other countries which will have the relevant synergy,” he told Bernama at the Shariah Investing Fair 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre last Saturday.
Besides Malaysia, Serba Dinamik is also in Indonesia, with new markets in Southeast Asia such as Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
“In this particular journey, we have been in six countries in the Middle East, which have been a very strong market for the past 17 years,” he added.
Abdul Karim listed Central Asia as growth markets with a presence in Turkmenistan for the last four years while Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were new players.
Elsewhere, he said that the company is eyeing the African continent, having established an operation in Tanzania.
The group is also present in the United Kingdom and the United States via its acquisition of CSE Global Ltd.
“Mexico is also important to us, as well as the Pacific region which include Australia and New Zealand,” he added.
Abdul Karim spoke of sustainability as the company’s business model, which is designed to ensure sufficient order book and revenue stream over a period of time.
He added that this model applied to all its hydro power plant projects that were secured with operation and maintenance as a package.
Looking ahead, Abdul Karim said: “To prove ourselves as a multinational company, I need the patience and perseverance of my management and working level teams to be united in order to realise the company’s hopes and aspirations.”
As a global entity, he added that Serba Dinamik has to strengthen its position and strive for success amid uncertainties in the global economy.
