Serba Dinamik: Expo 2020 Dubai best platform to promote Malaysian products

KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Group Bhd believes that Expo 2020 Dubai is the best platform to promote the diversity of Malaysian products.

Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said the expo, scheduled to take place from Oct 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, is a perfect opportunity to showcase the company’s services and products in the eyes of the world.

“Serba Dinamik’s participation as one of the main partners or premier partner for the Malaysia Pavilion at the expo include peer-to-peer or business-to-business discussions.

“We will also be given a certain slot to present what we can do and what we can produce in terms of contributions to different countries,” he said on Bernama TV’s ‘Ruang Bicara’ programme last night.

Mohd Karim also said that Serba Dinamik, as an energy services group, will take advantage of meeting with industry leaders or decision-makers from various countries during the expo.

Elaborating further, he said the expo would also provide the best opportunity, especially for technology-based private companies that have their own application systems, to be introduced and expand to other countries.

Mohd Karim called on government-linked companies and big corporations to support the important mission of making Malaysia the best location for trade cooperation, investment, tourism, as well as education.

The Dubai Expo 2020, themed ‘ConnectingMinds, Creating the Future’, is a global exhibition that will be attended by 192 countries and organisations, including Malaysia.

The global expo, administered by the Bureau International des Expositions, targets 25 million visitors to feature innovations as well as ideas and successes from around the world to enable actions towards a better world.

The Malaysia Pavilion-themed ‘Energising Sustainability’ or ‘Empowering Sustainability’ reflects the country’s commitment to balance socio-economic progress with environmental protection to ensure a more secure and sustainable future.

The Malaysia Pavilion aims to inspire visitors with Malaysia’s hospitality, tropical rainforest biodiversity and the country’s long-term efforts to ensure industrial sustainability.

The country’s participation in the expo will be led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, while the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC) is the implementing agency.

Meanwhile, asked if his party intends to venture into other fields besides information technology and space information solutions, Mohd Karim said his party would continue to strive to move in line with the current needs of the world market so as not to lag behind global industry players.

“Business is a journey and along the journey, we need to see what is coming up and what the world is heading towards. We go along those directions and we believe that Malaysians can do it,” he said. – Bernama
