Specialization

1.    Total engineering and maintenance (TEAM™) for Rotating Equipment:
TEAM™ is a trademark of SERBA which combines human resources, tools, proven techniques, products and software developed through years of in house R&D and work experience to provide improved reliability, efficiency and availability to our clients.

SERBA, being a specialist in Rotating Equipment under this TEAM™ package, provides the following:

i)    Turbomachinery installation and commissioning service:
-    Machines installation/erection work i.e mounting of machines, alignment of skid, leveling of frames and its pedestal, anchor bolt grouting, final leveling of pedestal frames, final grouting, final bolt tightening and check up level.
-    Commissioning of the machines installed following OEM approved procedures.

ii)    Field overhaul services:
-    Minor inspection comprising of bearing and seal inspection
-    Major overhaul inclusive of complete inspection of critical machine parts and recommendations for replacement.

iii)    Workshop repair:  SERBA has created either through its own resources or with its alliances a large number of repair facilities in strategic locations to be closer to customer needs.

The repair shops are equipped with the necessary tools and equipment and competent Engineers / Technical Advisors to ensure repairs are done to meet the respective OEM design requirements.

iv)    Multi-OEM Services:  SERBA TEAM™ has Multi - OEM service capabilities developed over years of hands-on experience with the respective OEM during the installation, erection, commissioning, troubleshooting and overhaul stage.  SERBA also forms partnerships with OEM's to take up turnkey global service packages on a 'win-win' approach.

In alliance with specialized engineering partners worldwide, SERBA also provide Parts, Repairs, Upgrades & rerates through Reverse Engineering techniques where applicable or with respective OEM's through a TURNKEY approach inclusive of CMEIP aspects.

(1)    Quality audit during commissioning of turbomachineries, shutdown and start up during turnarounds.  Quality audit involves Dynamic Design Verification (DDV) incorporating advanced engineering techniques namely Operating Deflection Shape Analysis, Modal Analysis and Finite element Analysis.  It is aimed at:
a.    Determining that machine satisfy design specifications.
b.    Establishing dynamic characteristic of each machine.
c.    Establishing base line of machinery initial operating condition.
d.    Generating accurate structural dynamic models of machinery and support for immediate or future use.

(2)    In situ field vibration analysis/troubleshooting of machinery problems.

(3)    In-situ balancing services of all kind of rotating equipment.

(4)    Oil Analysis:
Contamination by particle counting (Monitoring), ferrography analysis and detailed elemental / chemical analysis.

(5)    Infrared thermography service:
Temperature variation in respective equipment due to heat distribution gives fault indication which can be captured by infrared thermography technique.

(6)    High performance Glassflake coating and linings supply and application services.  These proven products overcome aggressive corrosion and erosion problems faced by plants in various sectors.  These Glassflake™ products provide greatly improved elongation and compression qualities allowing the coating to move with the substrate during temperature variations.  This creates superior resistance against abrasion, erosion and corrosion.

2.    Total Inspection and Repair Services for Boilers/Unfired Pressure Vessel (UPV):
SERBA's TEAM™ provide a total inspection and repair services on boilers/UPV which includes:-
-   Preparation of WPS/PQR for respective type of material of boiler, tubes, plate etc and certification of ASME coded welders accordingly i.e WQT.
-   Carry out total inspection of boilers/unfired pressure vessels and produce repair methods based on ASME code of practice.  Work method procedure will incorporate safety, health & environment elements.
-   Discussion with clients and execution team will be carried out to ensure full understanding to avoid flaws in the execution plans.  Usage of latest state of art technology tools and equipment to ensure speedy job progress.
-   Liason with statutory institutions to approve and witness repair work done and other necessary tests in accordance to ASME code or equivalent.
-   Carry out chemical cleaning to eliminate scaling and avoid potential SCC failure
-   Carry out refractory repairs and modification to eliminate heat leakage and improve equipment efficiency.
-   Troubleshooting of boilers or 'steam generator' performance related problems and development and implementation of Risk
